Leading Excellence in Online Education
Heath Hoffman, professor of Sociology, is the inaugural Faculty Development Online Education Coordinator effective January 1, 2024. Heath completed the online education readiness class in 2013 and has taught courses online since 2015. He has worked collaboratively with faculty across campus, serving as a mentor of the online education readiness class, assisted colleagues to pivot quickly to teaching online during the COVID pandemic, and is committed to fostering best practices in online education.
The Faculty Development Online Education Coordinator provides leadership with resources, training, and guidance necessary to create dynamic and effective online courses and programs at the College of Charleston.
