Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

A hub for inquiry and collaboration

Located in Addlestone Library, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) provides support for holistic development for faculty and staff by connecting teaching and learning opportunities from across campus. We aim to cultivate great teaching by fostering communities of inquiry, practice and scholarship.

Research-Based Best Practices

CETL promotes research-based best practices. We are curating resources to help our faculty and staff incubate new pedagogical ideas and design innovative strategies to prepare students to make meaningful contributions in a globally connected world. CofC authentication is required.

Work with Us

CETL will provide customized consultations on teaching and learning for individuals, small groups, departments, and schools within the College. We will support community-building through the support of interdisciplinary Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs). Our FLCs provide faculty with safe spaces to approach teaching and learning theory, contemporary scholarship, and member practice in support of stronger teaching and learning.

University Initatives for Student Learning

As outlined in the College's Strategic Plan, CETL will work to advance university initiatives in student learning; support equity, diversity and inclusion; and empower faculty dedicated to the success of their students.
